7th & 8th Grade
Our 7/8 program is designed to offer options that fit all levels of play. There are stratified Travel Teams as well as no try-out, balanced Travel Teams, both playing in the Founders Girls Lacrosse League, the premier league for girls in New England. At 7/8, we continue to offer our Select program, which requires a spring tryout process and a commitment to the Travel program as well.

WGL SPRING 7/8
SKILLS PRACTICE
Tuesday evening 90-minute skills practice for all players. Focus is on advancing fundamental skills, improving physical capabilities and lacrosse IQ. Practices will be run in stations and will include both individual skill development as well as small-sided game play and teamwork.

*Required for all Travel Team 7/8 players who are not on Select Team
7/8 TRAVEL TEAMS
Players may opt in to a 7/8 evaluation process in the fall that will be used to form stratified Travel Teams. All players not rostered on stratified teams will be rostered onto balanced Travel Teams. All Travel Teams have a one hour practice on Tuesday & Thursday evenings and a game each Sunday. The games are played in the Founders Girls Lacrosse League.

7/8 SELECT TEAM
The Select Team is for skilled players who want more lacrosse during the spring. There is a two-day tryout process before the spring season begins. In addition to the Travel Team obligations, these players are required to attend a Select Team practice Thursday evenings and a weekly Select game on Friday nights.
